Camino de Santiago--Camino Francés (engagement level: Pilgrimage tour)

Plans are still forming, but it appears that I will spend the month of July walking from St. Jean Pied de Port in southwest France to Santiago de Compostela, Spain. This 700 kilometer hiking trail, dubbed the first European Cultural Route by the Council of Europe in 1987, follows one of several paths used by Christian pilgrims seeking to follow "The Way of St James." The trail crosses the Pyrenees Mountains and winds through towns and villages across the length of of Spain.

MEDITERRANEAN CRUISE (ENGAGEMENT LEVEL: STUDY TOUR)

Join Mark and Vicki Ziese for a luxury excursion originating in Civitavecchia, Italy. From this port of Rome we travel on the Celebrity Reflection to the islands of Sicily (Messina), Malta (Valletta), and Greece (Mykonos). This 8-day familiarization trip is designed for professors, pastors, and their spouses who wish to explore the possibility of bringing their own church or school for a Holy Land experience. Priced at a deep-discount level, the trip prioritizes not only engagement with the geography/culture/history of Israel-Palestine in an intense 8 day format, it also introduces leaders to the process, potential, and pitfalls of organizing a trip. Jesus Trail (engagement level: extreme adventure)

This 8-day journey in Israel-Palestine features a hike across Lower Galilee. It is designed for intrepid travelers who desire a more intimate and focused view to the land featured in the gospel narrative. Travelers must able to walk for distances up to 10 miles per day carrying a small pack. Vehicle support is provided and will return the group each night to a hotel. Johnson University (Engagement level: study-tour)

This study tour to Israel-Palestine will be conducted in conjunction with a program of ministry developed for students in a residency program developed in Indianapolis, IN and Louisville, KY. Graduate or undergraduate credit available through Johnson University. Departures from Knoxville, Indianapolis, and Orlando are planned. Teaching duties will be shared with Bill Wolf and Rafael Rodriguez. This trip is fully booked.

This 17-day trip for students and friends of Northwest Christian University highlights the geography, archaeology, and culture of Israel/Palestine. Designed with young legs in mind, it features several challenging hikes including the Jesus Trail across Galilee. Teaching duties will be shared with Terry O'Casey.
