It can be cold in Corinth

Lachaeon road 8.jpg

The Lechaion Road once connected the port of Corinth with the city. Paved in limestone, it was flanked with raised sidewalks and shops and was the primary civic artery. No doubt, the Apostle Paul walked this same path on many occasions.

In this photo, taken in January of 2002, Johnny Pressley follows that road toward the deserted forum. Only days before our visit, the area was frosted in light snow. The massif known as the Acrocorinth dominates the landscape.
