This vertical pottery kiln is being built to replace an aging kiln in Jabah, Palestine. At the moment you can see stone slabs laid up to five or six courses. Concrete holds them in place. The slabs follow the arc created by metal rods (which will be removed). The firebox opening is clear; at the top of this "beehive" shape, a second opening will be fashioned to allow for the loading and unloading of vessels.
