COVID-19

COVID-19 has shocked the travel industry in ways that no one expected. Prior to the outbreak of the virus in 2019, travel and tourism accounted for 10% of the global GNP. The pandemic has devastated this segment of the economy and has put millions of jobs at risk.*

Of course, these numbers cannot compare to the greater tragedy of lost health and lost lives.

Here at Bible Land Explorer we have been affected by the events of the recent past and have watched sadly as a long line of group travel experiences has been canceled. Perhaps you were a part of one of those groups. I’m so sorry.

I’m also hopeful that we’ll turn a corner on the virus this year.

As we scramble to reschedule, recognize that international travel in 2022 will be different than international travel before 2019.

Governmental policies continue to evolve in response to new knowledge about the virus. For this reason, the effort to publish travel rules or “tips” must be nimble. Toward that end, two links are posted here.

EO guidelines

The first is a link to the website of Educational Opportunities. We work exclusively with EO for our pilgrimage- and study-tours to Israel-Palestine. Their attention to the evolving situation is constant and updated regularly. Please see the following website for the latest on healthy travel standards to Israel-Palestine:

CDC guidelines

The second link connects to the website of the CDC and its brief about flying in or out of the United States. Please see the following link for the very latest information.

And remember . . .

“Turn all your anxiety over to God because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7).
