Cairo International Airport (CAI) serves as the primary gateway to Egypt and is the second busiest airport in Africa, acting as the central hub for EgyptAir. Located in Heliopolis, it features four terminals, including the modern Terminal 3 which connects directly to an automated people mover for easy transit. Travelers arriving here can conveniently purchase their required entry visas at official bank kiosks located just before the immigration checkpoints.
CAI is a place where ancient hospitality meets 21st-century infrastructure, often leaving travelers feeling both slightly overwhelmed and incredibly excited to finally be on Egyptian soil.
