If you want to jumpstart your morning, forget the cereal. In Frankfurt, Germany, they do breakfast a little differently.
There is nothing quite like a Laugenstange (pretzel stick) loaded with Kümmelbraten (caraway roast pork) and Kraut before 8:00 AM to really wake up the senses. As the saying goes, it’ll certainly “put hair on your chest!” Luckily, the locals also brew a pretty fair cup of coffee to help wash it all down.
To the passenger sitting next to me on my next flight: you have my sincere apologies. However, as my friend Dr. Scott Caulley wisely pointed out, in this part of the world, my seatmate probably ate two of these!
