We officially rolled into the Serengeti, and before we could even settle in, we were greeted by the true rulers of the plains: a majestic pride of lions.
There is nothing quite like the silence that falls over a safari vehicle when you first spot that golden fur in the tall grass. Seeing these powerful cats in their natural habitat—just feet away from our tires—is a stark reminder of why this landscape is so legendary. From the sleepy cubs to the watchful lionesses, it was the perfect introduction to the wild heart of Tanzania.
